recently I was told to make changes to view my photo gallery and make sure I didn't have to choose it every time I viewed photos from my SD card.   THIS STILL DOESN'T ALLOW ME TO CHECK view photo gallery & never have to change it again.

The changes I was told were: as start, type 'msconfig', programs, services tab & check box beside all Microsoft services, select half of the listed items.

start, type msconfig, in programs in system config, check services tab, ENABLE ALL, check startup, enable all program, check ok

active x controls what is it and do I enable or disable

under show tap ALL ADD ON's and then DISABLE, CLOSE & RESTART IE. 

now I can no longer do many things on my computer such as simple ICONS on a web page "FILE" to send a link or page via email.  what could I have done in all the changes I was told to do to loose these?

I'm sorry I ever asked how to fix anything as now simple things can't be done as I must have disabled or enabled things I didn't know anything about.
